Borders Machinery Ring Limited

Labour

Labour is now a growing part of the Ring business. Reducing fixed costs has become a priority in most businesses. More farms are now hiring labour from the ring when they need it, rather than having a full time employee all year round. BMR subsidiary company Borders Area Services Ltd holds a Gangmaster Licence for labour supplied through this company.

From 1st April 2016, workers aged 25 and over must be paid at least the new national living wage of £7.20 per hour.  Make sure you don't fall foul of this change in legislation.
