Tractor Driving

BASL can arrange tractor driver training;

• with assessment for 16+ year olds (with Lantra, NPORS or City & Guilds assessment)
• training only for 13+ year olds (with Lantra or an in-house certificate)

Basic operations and manoeuvring will be covered, as will using atttachments, trailers and the power take-off (PTO) shaft*

Course sessions:

• Health and safety legislation
• Controls and pre-start checks
• Operating the tractor
• Manoeuvring
• Mounted implements and trailed machines
• PTOs*
• Tractor mounted front-end loader*

*Training for 13+ and less experienced drivers will cover the above depending on the skill level of operators on the course. Use of PTOs and front-end loaders are not included in Lantra Technical Awards for 13+.
