Join FAS at Prora Farm near Drem in East Lothian for a farm walk with Graham Miller who manages a productive mixed farming enterprise. Discover how his integrated farming system has delivered real business benefits – while creating a landscape where wildlife flourishes.
Graham’s farm covers a relatively small area but is also home to over 65 recorded bird species including resident Barn Owls and a family of Kestrels thanks to his farming practices.
See first-hand how simple, practical changes can support your business as well as wildlife including:
• Reduce input costs – lower reliance on inorganic fertilisers
• Save on fuel – reduced diesel use through efficient practices
• Support native species – allowing wildlife to thrive
Graham will walk us through his, “easy win” measures that support both farm profitability and wildlife habitats including hedgerow management, field margins & corners, allowing low-yield/unproductive areas to go “wild" and explaining how farm steadings can also be excellent wildlife habitats.
Refreshments provided. Booking is essential – visit the FAS website to find out more and to book your place.
