Bedmax Shavings is lookoing to employ a Development and Maintenenance Engineer at its product factory based near Belford, Northumberland, This is a vital role that works closely with the Factory Team and Manager.
The role involves:
• Providing Total Plant Maintenance and help other staff to do the same
• Responding to equipment breakdowns to ensure the Factory’s downtime is kept to a minimum
• Ensuring spare part stock is kept up to date
• Analysing data to identify areas of improvement
• Providing management with advice on any potential performance improvements
• Problem solving to always find the Root Cause of all problems as quickly as possible
• Working safely and complying with legislation
• Undertaking additional training if need be to maximise your potential
The ideal candidate will:
• Have a practical and mechanical ability to solve production related issues, refine processes where possible and apply continuous improvement principles in relation to the manufacturing process
• Be a competent welder fabricator
• Have electrical experience
• Have fitting and fault finding skills and be able to manage spare part stocks and ordering.
• Have a good standard of written and spoken English, be numerate and highly responsible in your attitude
• Be self motivated, conscientious, enthusiastic and curious
Weekend work will be required and call outs when necessary.
Driving license essential.
Experienced GFW required to join a dedicated team on farm near Duns.
Must be motivated, diligent, and reliable. Duties will include day-to-day stock work and tractor work, with every 3rd weekend on.
The farm has a pig enterprise with 350 sows and is looking to expand arable contracting business in SE Scotland. Stock experience would be an advantage whilst with pig not essential as pig training will be applied on farm.
The company has an ongoing training program for all employees and is fully compliant in all health and safety awareness programmes.
The farm is a 15-minute drive from the centre of Duns. Attractive package for the right candidate.

Tractor Driving Experience Essential
We have a number of members who occasionally require help with sheep work. Good dogs an advantage
