Join BMR at the annual kelso ram sales

Friday 11th September 2026 at 1000 – Springwood Park, Kelso

The Kelso Ram Sales is the largest one-day ram sale in the UK and attracts huge crowds with people coming from all over the country to buy and sell tups.

The 2026 sale offers 4,307 Rams covering 17 breeds spread across 14 covered sale rings, including over 500 Bluefaced Leicester’s, over 1100 Suffolks and over 1300 Texels. The sale also includes some rarer breeds such as the Hampshire & Oxford Downs and Easycare.

BMR will be supplying the Tup Taxis again this year and if you are interested in being part of the team here is what you need to know:

• Drivers must have a full driving licence
• Ideally you need to provide an ATV with a trailer
• It would ge useful if you had some livestock experience
• We do need extra kit: if you cannot drive, we would appreciate it if we could hire your bike & trailer

Timetable

• Registration at Grey shed in the Showground between 0830-0945
• Driver briefing at Grey shed 1000
• Sale begins 1000
• Tup Taxis run 1030-1600 (with some running later)

Additional information

• Your ATV and trailer must be clean & in good working order
• Hourly rate & hire rates apply
• Drivers are employed by Border Union Agricultural Society and must abide by the showground rules
• The Sale runs whatever the weather so wet weather clothing is essential
