CAMELS COME TO KELSO FOR BORDER UNION SHOW
The Border Union Show 2026 may be remembered for many things but surely the sight of camels racing around the main arena will surely be one of the most memorable.
The BMR stand was very busy over the two-day show and our Members Hog Roast, supplied by Oink of Edinburgh, went down well. Parks Toyota supplied us with a Land Cruiser Commercial which attracted a lot of attention especially as BMR members can secure a discount through our partnership with AF Group – contact the office for more details.
And Sky-Pin Drones joined us on Saturday with one of their drones allowing our visitors to get a closer look at this interesting technology. The company is busy at the moment and if any member is interested in using their services for spreading or spraying, please give the BMR office a call.
Elsewhere at the Border Union Show Judge Barry Frizell from Wigton, Cumbria and had a difficult task to whittle down 190 shepherds crooks and walking sticks to a single winner.
The plain horn head neck crook from Murray Playfair picked up the main award and a special prize, donated by the Tweedale Stick Dressers, was won by Jim Currie.
