Regulation and Codes of Practice now cover the use of professional anticoagulant rodenticides and the use of metallic phosphides.

Use of rodenticides

From 1 June 2016 any rodent control using professional second generation anticoagulent rodenticides must be carried out by a person with a recognised award in the use of rodenticides.

For those on Farm Assured Schemes, with audited rodent control, this regulation comes into effect in 2017.
